The concert at Snape with Mike Lovatts Brass Pack and Sounds of Sinatra was exceptional. Complimented by Matt Ford's singing and the acoustics of Snape Festival Hall was a perfect match. This was on the 11th August and I'm still buzzing. Pity that the concert was not recorded. We hope you and your arranger go on to make some more magic music for us to listen to and that someone will come forward to get this on to a recording so that others may be able to listen to the fabulous sound make by world class musicians

of course I GET IT......Beautidul playing.....Look my dad m grandfather and cousin were not superior players but GREAT players who played for EVERYONE that was ANYONE....I know good trumpet......its way more than playing a NOTE.....its knowing what notes to play, how to play them and NUANCES that come ONLY from yoru heart and GOD,,,,,,it doesnt come from Berkley College of Music.Beleive me I know ALL of them,,,,, It s IN YOU or it AIN'T cant be taught....not that last inch of great playing

From the first prom that the John Wilson orchestra performed at in 2009 when a DVD was made available I have always been disappointed that there have not been anymore DVD’s made for the other proms,fantastic as they have all been by the JWO. I am fortunate that I have recorded them over the years and have had hours of pleasure listening to these.

simply magical... just like I first saw the movie in the 60's

Very nice of Mike to compliment the other trumpet players in his section but... at 43:51 when he states that they could all "sit in his seat" - I disagree. Mike has a unique talent for almost "channeling" the great trumpet player Uan Rasey when it comes to those "show tunes." Think "Carousel" from the 2010 Proms. It's chilling listening to Mike's playing on that piece. He's not only technically flawless on all those notes - and I take his word that anyone else in the trumpet section could deliver in terms of their skill - but Mike's playing also includes just the right amount of Uan Rasey "flair" and nice use of vibrato. That's what Uan Rasey always delivered on those big Hollywood musical soundtracks and that nobody else in town during those years (50s/60s especially) brought to the job.

No word to say....so impressive deeply into my heart
